Task/Problem Overview
This knowledgebase article will cover how to retire items and supersede with another in Savance so you can keep the history of the item, but it is no longer available to purchase or sell.
Item Manager
In the scenario, you need to retire an item you will view that item in the item manager.

Go to Inventory > Inventory Manager > Item Manager

Search for the item to bring up the item manager

Select the Actions button

Select ‘Retire Item’

NOTE: If this item is included is on any open orders you will not be able to retire the item and will receive this message:

If the item is not on any open orders you will receive the following message:

If you have to enter an inventory item to supersede the item you are trying to retire.

When you enter the retired item on an order it will automatically refresh with the superseded item.
